Coming off a stretch in which he had just two hits over his previous six games, second-ranked Mariners prospect Noelvi Marte broke out with his best game of the season for High-A Everett. The shortstop racked up three hits for the first time since a four-hit showing last Aug. 3 with Low-A Modesto. After striking out in the bottom of the first inning, Marte singled to right in the third and doubled to center in the fifth. Following an infield popout in the seventh, the 20-year-old singled through the right side in the ninth.
