Daren Brown was a great manager in his brief stint. Should just give him the manager job.

Negron has win more games in a row this year then Scott has. I think this team just not go with Scott last year was a fluke. They just can't get going with Scott it's been 6 fucking years and nothing.

Come guys at times like these we should think about the the brilliance of this logic:
Many fans on this forum probably know 10 times as much about baseball as their mothers-in-law know. However, many fans do not realize that they probably don't know one-tenth what the typical MLB front office knows. A front office has a wealth of information unavailable to even the most avid fan. Forum posters too often make snap judgments based on small samples when analytics have shown that larger samples provide better results.

When the Seattle front office makes a puzzling move I feel free to question that move knowing that I don't have the same information the front office has. At times in my profession I need to patiently explain matters to laypeople who lack my knowledge and expertise. I wish Jerry Dipoto were available at my disposal to answer the questions of this simple fan.
Totally agree Darren.

I haven’t played the game at any level, I never grew up with it and can’t be considered to have any such experience in baseball operations. But even such a person can see without any analytics that pitching to Trout there was tantamount to suicide.

Enjoy game 2, I might pick up late with the game in progress but I am confident I will sleep through this one.

The manager has to play the players on the roster. Not sure what else he's supposed to do.
Then why are other managers fired. Why was giardi fired? It's on the manager also. When u can't fucking win back to back games u shouldent be manager. When u go weeks having solid very winnable pitching and continue to lose your not a good manager. Stanton needs to fucking wake up and start getting out pink slips. He says he wants a championship. No he does not.

I've liked Bruce Bochy, but I'm not sure if he wants to manage again.

I say bring in a former Mariner. Maybe Ibanez or Reynolds or even Dan the man. Someone who knows this organization. Something to really bring life back into baseball here. Look what boone is doing for the skanks. Something like that. Scott has had enough time and it's sickening to see over and over true garbage of a manager.

I don’t think the criticism is aimed at the roster in this instance.

There is some analytics I saw last week that says statistically walking in extras is a very bad choice and reduces the chance of a win. I believe the probability of a win is halved if you make an intentional walk. I understand this data and can see it’s relevance to the decision. Statistically the call would be to pitch to Trout. Our manager has followed this when any other manager would probably use his acumen and logic to think that the data doesn’t come into play in this scenario.

It’s not a statistical analysis that’s happening it’s Mike F’n Trout and you walk him every time, surely? If you are just going to follow data every single time you might as well get a laptop to pick the team. Yes, the call may have gone the other way and a three run HR might have followed. Perhaps he was in an unwinable situation but that doesn’t mean you should bottle it and just follow the data. His job is to make the tough calls and to be fair last season he made plenty of good ones but this was a shocker when the team is falling further backwards.

I never clamour for the head of a manager, I was burned with that in 1989 when a soccer manager struggled before two decades of unparalleled success but this guy hasn’t helped himself tonight.

I just wanna know if it's the team or coaching? When Scott was out we were winning and we had same players. Scott needs to take a lil sibatical and see what happens. I have a feeling this team would play much better. If not then we know it's the players.
