They were 3 games down on Pittsburg to start this series... Dumb series to sweep. I hadn't questioned them picking later than 6th until now.

Why? Finishing ahead of the Pirates and picking one spot lower in the first round will in all likelihood have absolutely zero bearing whatsoever on what kind of player the Mariners end up with. The only time anyone should ever worry about that sort of thing is in the NBA draft lottery when there's someone like Zion Williamson sitting there at #1.

Really, you should enjoy watching these young players who aren't even among the franchise's top prospects going out there and kicking other teams' butts and building confidence in themselves as players and as a team.

It's just too bad New Orleans doesn't have an MLB franchise, it would be nice to ruin their weekend/week next.
