Just let me bitch for a minute…
Re: Just let me bitch for a minute…
Needed to be ready to play nearly every day in the field when he was in his AAA rehab stint
/Can play nothing but DH upon his return.

And they're doing a similar thing with Haniger now.
Just bring him up and let him and Lewis "rehab" in the majors. They can do their dumb 50% playing, 50% bench strategy, but at least we could have Haniger half the time and Lewis the other half.
They soft-peddle these injuries like it's perpetual spring training.

Jesus Donn. Sorry, there is ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH number of Dr's that would clear a guy from concussion, but only to play every other day. I get these notes from Dr's from my athletes all the time. They can go at 25%, which basically means they can physically be at practice, but do nothing. 50% pretty much means they can jog and throw, but not a lot else. 75% means they can practice, but they are not ready to return to play. THEN? They get released at 100%.
There is not one single fucking chance that a Dr releases any athlete with concussion symptoms to play, but only every other day. They are holding him out due to the knee. With a concussion? You are fucking cleared to play in a game, or you are not. No other options.

In the words of Rocky Balboa, "Oh. Absolutely". Just watch him run . . . if you want to call it that.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 4:14 pmJesus Donn. LOL, love me some Rocky!
At this point I think this is just Donn being Donn. He wants to argue, and then act like he wasn't. Sorry, there is not one single instance ever of a player being released from concussion protocol, but not all the way. It is absurd that he would even hang on to that thought, other than because stirring the pot is fun.

Fans render judgments based on their available information and MLB front offices (and medical staff) render judgments based on their available information.
The available information of the respective parties is unlikely to be the same ... nor is the expertise.

Well, the information I have at hand is that no player is partially released to return to competition from a concussion.harmony wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 6:47 pmFans render judgments based on their available information and MLB front offices (and medical staff) render judgments based on their available information.
