OT: Great performances
Re: OT: Great performances
in 1976 Al Stewert wrote this classic, THE YEAR OF THE CAT.
"She comes out of the sun in a silk dress runnin' like a watercolour in the rain" is one of the most beautiful lines ever written.
The composition is exquisite - the solo going from organ to guitar to guitar to sax is absolutely breathtaking. If you know this song, or if you have a cocktail near you, take a seat and enjoy - The Year of the Cat - absolutely mesmerizing.

When I listened to the back story, this song came up on the recommended list.
I've always loved the way this song sound....but it's more interesting how they made it.

He seems like a great happy guy. I love his self deprecating humor and how he then he laughs his ass off right after he says something funny.

Let's stay with Al Stewart awhile. I started listening to him in the early 70s.auroraave wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 11:39 pmin 1976 Al Stewert wrote this classic, THE YEAR OF THE CAT.

Also, and I have three or four more at least, but this is likely most favorite all Stewart song. I grew up with his music and bought all the albums, but Past, Present and Future remains sacred to me.

Canada's finest- April Wine - Roller. If you know it - you know it. If you don't you're a putz cuz this sh*t ROCKS. One of the most underrated bands - this is easily their best performance. The triple guitar attack is just insane.
