Brock on M's complete reversal
Re: Brock on M's complete reversal
love seeing others take it to the shill that is Drayer. Talk about a garbage reporter. The only thing I'll give her is work ethic. She's there every day. Good for her. Still, she could learn a little on how to write, how to be more objective

I find it funny that people bitch about people bitching about the team not spending money when all people really want is them to add two good players, not build the team through free agency.
It's a complete strawman argument.
Now that the time has come where adding free agents makes sense, Dipoto backs out. It's bullshit.
If they dump Marco and Flexen they could add two more $25M/yr contracts and still only be equal to their 2018 payroll at $165M. That's not even adjusting for inflation.
It's embarrassing to see people carry the water for management/ownership and act like spending now would stop them from extending Logan/Kirby/Raleigh 6 years down the line when both Ray/Castillo will have dropped off. Bunch of simps.
Not to mention the fact that any or all of those players could get hurt or sign with Boras and not sign extensions anyways.

Yep, its like there are only two options. Sign guys to 11 year $300M deals or sign Gott for $1.2M if you want more than Gott then you must be demanding an 11 year $300M deal for every open position.bpj wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 7:15 pmI find it funny that people bitch about people bitching about the team not spending money when all people really want is them to add two good players, not build the team through free agency.
