I do appreciate a DB that can tackle. His method out-of-here was piss poor.

I bet you all would welcome them back in a heartbeat if they wanted to come back especially Earl. What still irkes me about the SB blunder is somehow WIlson thought that way a good enough play to call that he didn't need to audible. I mean you can't tell me the 3 headed horse of Pete, Bevell, & Russ all thought that was a good play. If I was Beast I'd of said "F this, gimme the ball & I'm gonna score here". That's all that had to be said.
Everything to the right of our right tackle was wide open. If RW just pump fakes he could have crawled to the right front end zone pylon. So sad.
I don't know why this is something Hawks fans always harken back to. The year prior we only blew out the team with the best offense in NFL history 43-8 to win our first Super Bowl... then returned to the Super Bowl the following season... something very few teams have ever done. To me just returning was enough and while it stung for about a week... all I can think of is how cool it was that we made it in the first place. Then you think about all of draft selections we've had late in drafts because we've been so good for so long and we wonder why our depth chart isn't quality. The draft is designed to allow for parity in the NFL. You know, we could be the 49ers who completely fell off the planet after their Super Bowl run... we could have spent the last 4 seasons as one of the laughing stocks of the league... they're only good today because they were gifted draft selections for being so shitty. A coward's way to build a team.

It's just weird... I know most of us are Mariner's fans. Yet we bitch and moan about Pete Carroll, Russ's decision to throw at the end of the Super Bowl, poor draft selections... The Hawks have made the playoffs 7 times the past 8 seasons and were a Blair Walsh FG/Atlanta loss from 8 straight. No losing seasons over that span. The Mariners? 4 playoff births in 42 years. 4. Yet here we are talking about one play... a play where our team played in the damn Super Bowl.

For a city that prior to 2013-2014 had only one professional sports title in its history, I just don't get why one play seems to upset so much of the fan base. It's a privilege to watch a team make a Super Bowl. Stop thinking about what could have been and start thinking of how privileged we've been.

Very logical post which does nothing to quell my irrational anguish.

it did not turn on being a bad offensive play as much as being an outrageously great defensive play...its one thing for Butler to have the wherewithal to break it up, but to make the interception, that was what was over the top. We did not lose because of calling a dumb play, we lost because of a great defensive play, Butler made the play and we didn't...it happens, I am at peace with it

If you feel like booing ET, just do it. He never worried about what you felt as a Seahawk fan seeing him sucking up to Jason Garrett in Dallas or when he flipped off his coach while the fans were giving him a standing ovation for being a beloved warrior as he was carted off the field.

On the other hand, ET never really bothered me the way Sherm and ADB did. He seemed to stay in his lane as a player more than some of the other malcontents.

Franchise of despair? He was born with speed and a nose for the football and he played hard. I think he was a great player but I am just not a big fan and I certainly don't love him. I definitely wouldn't boo him though.
It's funny every Seahawks fan has a player from the Superbowl years that they can't stand. For whatever reason. Some Sherman, some Bennett. Hell even Russell bothers some fans. There is a certain "angry" WR that was so awesome the offense would suffer without him  . I hate that fucker. And I thought he was overrated as hell.
How can anyone hate ADB.

I don't have much love for ADB. Too much talk, too much look at me (pooping a football was the beginning of the Super Bowl collapse), and way too much love for guys like Sherman and Lynch and way WAY too much hate for Wilson.

Once again, our offense is better now than when he was dominating targets and shouting at Wilson. He was a BIG part of the offense the last time we missed the playoffs, just as Sherman, ET, and Bennert were a big part of the defense the last time we missed the playoffs. Mouth pieces, and miscreants who if you read the tea leaves did plenty of damage to a locker room.
