Marco serves up sweep Brewers drink

Hoping it is sarcasm but Marco against these guys with our bottomless pit at 6-9 isn’t a good recipe. Lineups to follow

Damn the rangers won't stop hitting and pitching. Sure they are playing bad teams but they won 2/3 from the Astros. We are gonna sit back almost 5 games if we don't win today. That's a big hole to climb out of

Let's not kid ourselves - the Rangers bought themselves into contention the last 2 offseasons. They spent a lot, and it shows. I used to think of them as cellar dwellers with the A's, but I predict they will have a better season then we will. Unless our guys started play with authority and/or Jerry makes a few unexpectedly aggressive moves before the trade deadline to really improve our lineup.

So, yeah. The Rangers looked at JD's plodding chess game the last 5 years and said, "meh. Let's just get aggressive with free agents". Same or better outcome with half the time and effort.

Exactly.

The only thing Jerry's approach is good for is saving the team money.

Yep gotta go out there and spend to win. I see the Ray's and they find some sneaky good hitters without spending. Must be nice to do that. Dipshito does not know how to construct a championship team. Stanton is too stupid and nieve to ever be a good owner. This franchise hates to spend and its costing us. I do not see the Rangers ever going under 500. They are one of the best teams in the game on both sides of the field. Wish we had a team and coach tht actually cares and fights for his players.

Here's hoping Calabbero has a good day. 2 for 4 would be nice but I'll even take 1 for 3. Anything is better than Wong. Seize the opportunity!

But THAT scenario costs money and we all know the M's are strapped for cash!

Looks at the Padres. They aren't a big market team like the Dodgers, Mets, Yankees or even the Angels or Astros. But damn, they got good by opening up their wallets and draining their farm system. This is their lineup:

Ha-Seong Kim 2B
Juan Soto LF
Manny Machado 3B
Xander Bogaerts SS
Jake Cronenworth 1B
Nelson Cruz DH
Matt Carpenter RF (Fernando Tatis Jr. is set to return in mid/late-April)
Austin Nola C
Trent Grisham CF

And here is their rotation:

Yu Darvish RHP
Joe Musgrove RHP
Blake Snell LHP
Michael Wacha RHP
Nick Martinez RHP
Seth Lugo RHP

Their record isn't any better than ours, but that's just a slow start. I don't imagine they will be middle of the pack by the all-star break.

And BTW, we had a legitimate shot at Xander, Boomstock and Soto. Like, legit. Not like Judge, legit - like, I think we could have signed Nellie and Xander, and really made a push to trade for Soto. Imagine how our lineup would look with those 3 bats.
