To the best offense in the NFL and according to the announcers, by far the best player in NFL history.ThePro wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 2:07 pmThat atrocious D gave up 16 points. This D is atrocious and the O isn't good enough to cover up that fact.

Re: We're sounding spoiled.
I heard on KIRO this morning that only Miami has fewer tackles for loss than us. That surprised me...especially since we utilize a base defense with three good LBs on the field more than anyone in football.
As fast as Jackson is, three LBs, regardless of how good they are, might not have been the answer. But, then what is? You would think that having LBs on the field should be your best bet to stop the run. But does anyone remember watching one of Jackson's plays where you thought we just blew it?
I don't know how long this kid can continue to play this brand of football, but he was something else to watch yesterday. Our offense needed to step up, and we seemed to struggle a lot after the pick six. I'm not sure if it was the weather, if they got extra caution after the pick six, or a combo of both. But it just wasn't happening.
I really think the game may have been different with Duane Brown. Clayton pointed out this morning that running wide on the Ravens is a possibility, but the interior of their defense is stout. It sounds like Fant struggled, not just in pass pro, but when we tried to attack the edge on the ground. Maybe we control the game with the run a little more if Duane plays?

How come they didn't use Shaquem as a spy yesterday? He could have shut down Jackson single handedly.

They didn't give up 200 yards on the ground. Dropbacks that result in the quarterback taking off running are rushing yards by definition only, but in fact they're passing plays that end up as rushing yards. Jackson got about 90 yards rushing on pass plays yesterday so they really only gave up 110. Try again.Logainismyhero wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 2:49 pmThey gave up 200 yards on the ground. And yes, I know you're just a troll who isn't sincerely making observations but rather trying to get a rise out of people. Your 8-8 bet yesterday probably saved you from getting banned.

Re: We're sounding spoiled.
The D's main job was to contain Jackson because every pass play can turn into a run play with him. They failed at that, but they did well in the red zone to minimize the damage. There aren't many teams that can overcome two turnovers that result in TD's. The worst thing is, i heard Hugh Millen explaining that on the pick-6 play Metcalf had beat his man on the opposite side of the field by 3 yards and it would have been an easy TD pass.

To add to that is there much shame in giving up ONLY a 100 yards on scramble plays to a QB that Michael Vick said he was "In awe of"DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 5:39 amWhich means something only to people who don't know anything about football...so...Logainismyhero wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 2:54 amStat box says 199 yds rusing by the Ravens....so.....
I just can't put that on the defense sorry.
