and this is another argument he isn't the genius people think he... I don't have a problem believing Bilichick is a great coach, I am cool with how he is generally viewed. You are not, ok, but honestly, this stuff you are coming up with seems kinda weak sauce to me. Yeah, he plays in a weak division and beats the crap out of it, and he's beaten teams you do not think were well coached. Those are things he has no control over, what more can he do than beat them? Not seeing a smoking gun there. He beats weak teams, but he beats everybody else too, and I figure he has beaten well coached teams just as he beats the poorly coached ones. To come up with a decent "he is overrated argument", I think you would need to find where he has performed badly as opposed to games he wins.

Nobody is saying he could or should have done more than anything.

The argument isn't what you're making it. Nobody is saying he's overrated. Simply saying that while he's earned success, he's been somewhat lucky as a head coach to play in a division where the 3 other teams are terrible.

Not overrated... just blessed in ways other coaches and teams have not been.

Good coach. The genius stuff is a bit much IMO. Especially this year. He's not that far advanced over the rest of the NFL. Doesn't hurt to have the greatest player to ever play the position either. Belichick/Brady = Jackson/Jordan.

AFC EAST Standings since 2001

Pats 227 68
Jets 133 161
Dolphins 133 161
Bills 124 170

Yeah this definitely confirms that the Pats are the best team in the division this millennium. lol

Here is a stat. If we don't get a sack tomorrow it will be the first time in NFL History a team has gone five games without one.

Only surprising thing is their 2 second place finishes.
