Our ace against a rookie who gave up seven runs in his last start. What could go wrong?

1/2 way through the season. This game will begin the countdown toward season's end. We're 3 under .500 with a 103 ERA+ staff, and a 98 OPS+ bat. Recently, they have suffered a series of blowouts that masks a really good pitching staff who has the most quality starts in baseball.

Two days in a row... JP leadoff double... 2 and 3 do diddly shit to move him.

The lack of situational baseball this team plays is f'n maddening.

Can't believe JP didn't take 3rd on Julios fly ball. Has to be the slowest skinny athletic black guy in the history of sports.

That's 2x times in 2 days. Literally the same play.

It's why JP is a 9-hole hitter. How can u have a guy in today's era bat leadoff w. limited power and 0 speed? It costs you so many runs.
