I’d rate her be undefeated and have dominated bad teams than have two loss with squeaky victories over Cindy, Pitt and Cleveland.

I hate New England too, but you are very Hawkbowler like right now. They have not lost a game since what, week 13 last year? Yep, they suck.

I’ve been reading their obituary for about six years in this forum. One day I guess you guys will be right.
i think their obituary will closely follow the retirement of Tom Terrific. still have to credit Belichek though for always stomping on the throat of his weak competition. not his fault those teams are so poorly managed.
I agree, and is where we fall short. Pete is horrible in game...too hormonal to be even decent at clock management, doesn’t value timeouts or challenges and still forgets what defense he has now. Belichek coaches every game based on his opponent. We simply do what we do and act surprised that someone else scouted us and expected it.

If you want to crown 'em. Crown 'em. You should pay more attention to who New England has been playing this year. It took a bad call for them to beat Buffalo 16-10. ..Only good team they've played all year.

And, what did it take for us to beat the winless Bengals, the Steelers with out their starting QB and the Rams at home despite leading by two scores? Glass houses my friend. Funny how when anyone talks about how we struggled to beat bad teams we hear a win is a win, but the Pats dominate football since 2001 and we hear how easy their schedule is!

Once again, Hawkbowler is probably still screaming about how they are about to collapse. And despite the fact that he has said it for ten years he will tell us he was right when they collapse ten years from now!

No, you are creating a strawman argument. I said dominating bad teams doesn't make Belichick a genius. And I was specific about this year. You said they have a great defense. Sure against Dolphins and Giants without Saquon Barkley. As far a dominating it is a indisputable fact they received two gifts in Superbowls. If it wasn't for incompetence it changes things a bit. Furthermore the "genius" of Belichick isn't going to make Jackson ineffective.

Didn't intend for a strawman. Just pointing out the best team in the NFL since about 2001 is the one everyone keeps telling me is about to fall on their faces, and they never do. They haven't lost since late November, that includes beating the Chiefs in Arrowhead and kicking the Rams asses in the Super Bowl. I know if we had their track record and people continued to tell me how lucky we were I'd be pissed off.

They haven't just beaten bad teams this year, they trounced them. As for "only" beating Buffalo? That was a road game against a team that has looked pretty damn good this year. It isn't two home losses and another home game were we needed a missed FG to not give up a two score lead. That is us, not them.

It is most certainly silly to listen to fans of this team tell us that whooping up on bad teams means nothing....when it takes an act of God damn near for us to even escape with wins against bad teams. If New England struggled to beat the Bengals, Steelers and Browns and had two home losses by now, would you be defending them the way you do this team?

It is super hypocritical, that is my point....no strawman about it.

I never said they were going to fall on their face. Hence the strawman. I did however say that Belichick isn't a genius. A great QB can erase alot of coaching deficiencies...We are seeing that first hand in Seattle.

Very true, and sorry, you are right...pointing out they havent beaten anyone is not saying they will fall on their face.

My point remains, watching us struggle with dogshit competition makes it very hard for me to say that Pat's havent played anyone good. Maybe not, but they destroyed those teams also.

How anyone can say Belichick isn't a genius is beyond ignorant. Yes, he's had Tom Brady on offense. But he's also taken many defenses without any stars most years and turned them into a top 5 or top 10 defense almost every year. Yes, they play Miami, NYJ, Buff in a pansy-ass division, but you still have to play those games and usually those teams are gunning for N.E. with everything they have. What Belichick is masterful at is removing your top offensive threat no matter what it takes. Double-teaming, stacking the box, whatever it takes. He also tends to run plays that account for the opposing team's defense and exposing those weaknesses over and over as well. Brady does help the situation, but to discount Belichick as just another coach is just nutso.

Not to mention they then go to the playoffs where they have to beat other AFC playoff teams which they usually do, and then in the Super Bowl they have to beat the best (or hottest) team in the NFC and they usually do.

You cannot ( and should not ) discount the two gifts they were given in Superbowls 49 & 50. Nothing genius about that. That was shameful . Pats got their ass kicked very next year by Philly.
