Well good thing I wasn’t including that extra day… cause it’s still 5/1 over the last 2 months

If the Jays trade for Teo, wonder if the M's trade for AAA OF Davis Schneider. 21 homers and a .991 OPS.
Bowden Francis also has to be appealing as a reliver. Throws 95 to 98 with plus breaking stuff.

I'm not saying your calculation is wrong, but I'm taking a slice that is a tiny bit bigger. His K/BB over a larger sample size is 2.78 this season, and his K/BB was 2.43 last year.

I kind of accidentally hijacked this thread by turning the topic to Hancock. Anyway circling back to Soto....Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:24 pmI honestly want to see them trade Woo so we can get Hancock up here.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:18 pmThey can have Trammell back too.....Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:17 pmPadres had the bases loaded nobody out in the top of the 10th inning last night with Bogaerts up and didn't score a run. Rockies walked them off with a bases loaded sac fly themselves. They just cannot get over the hump.
How I wouldn't mind a package for Soto centered around Woo and France and few prospects.
I don't think there'd be fall off and Hancock would head into '24 seemingly without an innings limit as he's gonna hit 150 or so innings this season.
How about this trade.

Padres just traded for Rich Hill. Seems they're going full Angels mode.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 5:45 pmI kind of accidentally hijacked this thread by turning the topic to Hancock. Never Mind. I just saw that they Padres just traded for Rich Hill and Ji Man Choi. Apparently they are buying not selling.

And I’m saying that he clearly figured something out starting June, and his overall numbers for the year might not be that significant compared to the last 10 starts where he’s been awesome

And I'm saying Miller had better peripherals, not to mention Hancock's long term peripherals.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 5:51 pmAnd I’m saying that he clearly figured something out starting June, and his overall numbers for the year might not be that significant compared to the last 10 starts where he’s been awesome

And the original argument started because someone mentioned Hancock ERA as the reason you shouldn’t be excited about him. Point is, there is much more that just simply looking at someone’s ERA, there’s more than looking at their K/BB ratio as wellice99 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 6:32 pmAnd I'm saying Miller had better peripherals, not to mention Hancock's long term peripherals.
