Not to be too picky but, walk don't run surf music? Secret agent man?

Speaking of surf music, once caught a dick dale concert, that was fun

Further side note, the first concert i went to as a kid was a kjr summer spectacular, had Jan and dean, more surf music. Also had the Shangri-las, sam the sham and the pharohs. Sam got into a shouting match with the crowd, that show was fun too.

There's the lineup, 1965 summer spectacular, Shangri-las not listed, they were there
Went to the KJR studio once in the late 60's. Tom Murphy put us on the radio. Great guy who became a voice actor.

KJR was voted THE best Top-40 station in the entire U.S. many times in the late 60's and early 70's. Murphy, O'Day, Roberts, Curtis, Kaye, and Lujack were on-air personalities. All either were about to become national names in radio or had already established themselves in the industry.

How's that for Great Performances?

Sorry dude, don't think George Jones has any reason to be in this thread.

Don't you think his music speaks for itself?

I don't particularly enjoy the genre, but George Jones is a country music legend.
