That article is nearly two years old and written by a hack.

Seems like a reasonable take. And the article is just over one year old. I agree with the majority of his points, especially this...
The point I’m getting at here is that Pete Carroll might be the most egotistical person in the entire NFL. Darrell Bevell and Tom Cable were fired, and he replaced Bevell with the NFL’s biggest yes-man and least innovative offensive mind, Brian Schottenheimer. Word has gotten out during the off-season that the innovative offensive football minds are unwilling to even interview with the Seattle Seahawks because of how stubborn Pete Carroll is. He does not want to advance into the new NFL with heavy motion and taking advantage of speed and alignments. He wants to line up and play 1980’s smashmouth football.

I am a Seattle Seahawks fan since I can remember so I enjoy talking and writing about them. I've also won a lot of video game tournaments. P.S: I want to be on Survivor (Yes, the reality TV competition show.) Go Hawks!

Schottenheimer is no yes man. There has been a significant change in the offense and the play calling . Notice the utilization of the TE and how the WR position has evloved under Schotty. This statement was written with bias before this hack had even seen what Schotty could do. It is outdated and ridiculous.

Sorry, i just don't see it. The offensive playcalling never seems to catch the opponent off guard. The run game is still mainly giving the ball to a guy who has to constanrly break tackles and push through piles to be productive and the pass game is still essentially the QB buying time with his legs and then throwing dimes to receivers that are not very open. Without a bruising RB and an mvp caliber QB this offense is near the bottom of the league.

as understood it PC brought Shotty in to coach up RW who is now the leading MVP candidate, that doesn't seem like such a bad idea now.

Very valid point. It is hard to watch this offense and be upset at Schotty. To be honest, I usually feel like when the offense bogs down it is more Pete reigning it in because he doesn't want to play that style. No way I can know that, but the way Russ plays today....hard to be upset about his coach.
