You said elite cuts and explosion. Your opinion is that in today's day and age of running back by committee, that a guy like Penny, with elite explosion and cutting, sits and hardly plays?

Not any Running backs by committee with a back like Carson starting. Video evidence of exactly what I'm saying. Elite.

Even though I'm still a Penny fan/supporter/defender, it is curious that Penny isn't seeing more playing time. Where last year Pete would stick Penny in there, for what seemed to be no apparent reason, to give him some opportunity, this year he's not. I'm sure some of that's because Chris Carson is a stud, but you have to wonder what's up. Without a proper explanation, I'm going to say it's a mistake on Pete and Shotty's part. Not only do I think Penny is a weapon, I think using him more could actually make Carson and the overall run game better as well.

On the other hand the fact that we have no pass rush makes Collier more of a nightmare.
I seems like we have enough talent on defense, they just need to play better. Injuries and Reed’s suspension have slowed down the D meshing, but I expected more improvement by now.
I’m still expecting the D to improve, but I am not as optimistic as before.
They don't have enough talent on defense. The Dine is pathetic. Reed is not up to game speed yet and ither than that they have one D lineman (Clowney) . Ansah is a joke and Wright is a total liability now. Safety is better with Blair but makes rookie mistakes. Flowers got destroyed by Evans. Still like his potential though. Biggest issue us D line
After last night’s win in SF (spelled Santa Clara), our talent on defense is looking better. Diggs helps our weakest unit.
Still some growing together to do, but I’m liking this team.
