He already said. She's poor. He gains nothing by continuing a case against her that prolongs his name being cleared.

Apparently he pitched well enough in Japan this year, this gives him time to get picked up somewhere now.

He didnt "bring it on himself" by suing her. He was able to get access to her messages through discovery which he then used to clear his name.
