Not the assault, it was his statements about rough sex and treatment of a woman. Hence the I don’t care about guilt but hey you are a better man then me. He ended his own career by not working hard. There have been many that missed two years due to complications from Tommy John and still came back. I gave an answer based on fact from his performance and you gave an excuse. Don’t think I got on a soap box but you most certainly have. PS performance matters!
Yeah after he was run out of MLB while being dominant, he pitched terribly two years later while trying to stay in playing shape once he cleared his name.
In other words, you social justice warriors ended his career on a false accusation. Congratulations, Soapbox Boy.

Re: Bauer: Would it be a move you would make?
He doesn't strike me as much of a locker room guy. His screaming at his teammates in Japan. I think that make it hard. A team would have to be willing to take on the negative impact. And he probably wouldn't be much help nor have the support of his teammates

Re: Bauer: Would it be a move you would make?
There have to be a plan to rehabilitate his image. The problem is he strikes me as too stubborn to cooperate. That is the problem a team signing him would be facing
Re: Bauer: Would it be a move you would make?
He's going to be 2.5 years out of MLB going into 2024.
He was pitching like an ace when he was suspended.
That's what he was robbed of.
2.5 years of his prime, ultimately ending his career.
On a false charge.

Not sure why I assumed you were right about him sucking in Japan.desbcoach wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 11:39 pmNot the assault, it was his statements about rough sex and treatment of a woman. Why would Trevor Bauer drop the defamation suit that initiated his legal dispute with Lindsey Hill?bpj wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 10:56 pmThey suspended him in 2021 when he had a 2.59 ERA and 137 strikeouts in 107.2 innings.
Sure, after the false accusations, and him trying to stay game ready in Japan two years later, all while hoping to get his name cleared before he was too old, no, he doesn't have much of a shot.
Because people like you who don't even have the actual story straight jump to convict him because you don't like what you think he's into and effectively ended his career.
If a girl tells you that she wants you but she likes it rough, you're not going to whisper in her ear and kiss her neck. And you're sure not going to kick her out of bed. You're going to give her what she asked for.
Or, I get it, you'd probably not respond to her because you're a bigger and better man. But the typical guy who wants to get some when he pulls into the next port, whatever she asks for, he's going to try and deliver.
And she and her friends were right there ready to pounce on Bauers wallet. A gold digger from the beginning, gets him to do what she asks, then turns it on him, and greatly exaggerates what happened, because she can.
And don't forget from her own video the next morning, she had zero marks on her. The doctors report said she didn't have the cracked skull she claimed to have. She was an all around liar.
Then she gets an insurance settlement from her own insurance company. Probably to get her lawyers paid. Lol.

He already said. She's poor. He gains nothing by continuing a case against her that prolongs his name being cleared.harmony wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 5:47 amWhy would Trevor Bauer drop the defamation suit that initiated his legal dispute with Lindsey Hill?bpj wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 10:56 pmThey suspended him in 2021 when he had a 2.59 ERA and 137 strikeouts in 107.2 innings.

We may never know the answer.
Apparently he pitched well enough in Japan this year, this gives him time to get picked up somewhere now.
He didnt "bring it on himself" by suing her. He was able to get access to her messages through discovery which he then used to clear his name.
