With Chicago's convincing victory over the Commanders, the Broncos chances of being last in the league are alive and well.

John Schneider should state in a press release, 'So we've actually done the Bronco fan base a favor in asking for their patience to draft Caleb Williams while we pilfer their system'.

This was a great analysis of the Ponies second half performance:

"The Broncos’ first five second-half drives are beyond abysmal.

3 plays, 4 net yards, punt
3 plays, -4 net yards, punt
3 plays, -6 net yards, punt
2 plays, -10 net yards, fumble
3 plays, -2 net yards, punt"

-18 yards in five series' of play. Is it bad game plays? Bad personnel? Or just plain bad?

"While that awful streak ended late in the fourth quarter on a big third down completion to Jerry Jeudy, the damage of those five drives was more than enough to sink Denver’s chances of winning this game. At 1-4 with three losses against really bad football teams likely sets Denver on course for a very high 2024 NFL Draft pick."

I wonder if Peyton will say that there are a lot of dirty hands here and that it is some of the worst coaching in NFL History. OR, if this time it's different? Sorry, that guy is a dirtbag and should be forced to walk up and down the streets of Denver with a kick me sign on his back.

Frank Clark is reportedly on his way out of Denver, either by release or by trade.

Should we try to get him back in blue?

I would.

I wouldn't be mad if they did, but why? We already have like 18 edge guys, most of whom are young and deserve playing time. Not sure he's a great fit for a 3-4 either. That's just my opinion... I wouldn't bother, but if John and Pete think he's an upgrade, bring him on.

The new owners paid $4.7 billion for a once proud franchise. And nothing but disaster since. Terrible football decisions = terrible product on the field.

One big dumpster fire. A shit symphony, so to speak.

In other news, former Broncos (Rod Smith and Mark Schlereth) are calling out DEN's current wide receivers.

Mark Schlereth, who was a Pro Bowl guard when the Broncos won a pair of Super Bowls, this week called out Sutton and Jeudy on a Denver radio station.

“The effort from our starting wide receivers, shame on Jerry Jeudy for even thinking he can utter the name of Rod Smith in his tweets,” Schlereth said. “Shame on you, because you’re not a professional. And you don’t know what effort is. Your quarterback’s under duress, somebody locks you up in man coverage on an underneath route, and to call it trotting would be an insult to trotting. You just quit. You gave up.”

Schlereth said if he was coaching the Broncos, both Jeudy and Sutton would be gone.

“Courtland Sutton not coming back to the ball. Neither of those two guys would play for me. I would cut both of those guys,” Schlereth said. “They would not play. Jerry Jeudy would not be on my team. Jerry Jeudy could not play on the teams I played on if his life depended on it. He’s not tough enough, he’s not focused enough, he’s not good enough, he’s not anything enough.

“He could not play on our teams. Mike Shanahan would cut him tomorrow. I wouldn’t have him on my team. You can have him. And that’s the reason the Broncos stink.”

Broncos are 10.5 dogs tonight and that number is only going to widen by game time.

Totally agree. 0 sacks and 45.7 PFF rating. He's washed.
