Gotta wonder what's going through Payton's mind right now. But, like Russ, he's got his millions.

Ha ha, the entire debacle looks good on DEN.

I thought Russell looked pretty good tonight, thoughts?
is that sarcasm? I didn't watch the game, but just pulled up the numbers. 13/22 for 95 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT and 4 sacks. I am always pounding the "stats don't tell the whole story" drum, but that... is not good. Especially in a loss where they only managed 8 pts.
Yes, sarcasm lol. He mostly looked like Lou Gehrig when Lou played his last game in 1939, except without the whole ALS excuse thing, plus Sean Payton made him play every down.
Sounds like the WRs are the main problem.

Funny how guys like Payton and Russ always manage to never be the problem.

They have problems but they have proven they are capable of getting the job done.

seems like they're both getting PLENTY of heat in those two articles posted.

Got me thinking about how many times Lockett and Baldwin and others bailed out Russ. There was a chemistry there, a trust, that just isn't there with Jeudy and Sutton. A couple of plays a game where a receiver makes a play or doesn't come back to the ball or runs the wrong route can make the difference between a QB sucking and being a superstar.

This looks like a case where everybody shoulders some of the blame. Don't know what happened to that defense, but they went from top notch to bottom dwellers overnight.

I didn't think Denver was going to be a great team with RW but I thought they would at least be .500 or better and probably make the playoffs last year. 5-16 now is so preposterously bad and unexpected. Might be one of the biggest fails in Sports history....

I thought they might suck, like 7-10, but didn't see this disaster at all.

Recently? Payton is 10 and 12 over his past two seasons and Russ hasn't done shit when he didn't have the LOB and Pete. It was the same here. Russ was never to blame, I was a BIG part of that. Not anymore. Russ has NEVER DONE SHIT without being babied by Pete Carroll. Then? Sean BountyGate Payton shows up to save the day, goes scorched earth on the past coaching staff, and Denver is now? Worse than they were under what Sean so eloquently called the "worst coaching job in the history of the NFL". Fuck that guy. He came in and ran his mouth, he was the savior. They are 1 and 5 and LIGHTYEARS worse than last year.

I myself used to torch Baldwin for not having Russ' back. I think we all now know why he didn't.
