Both Purdy and Watson out. Could be in 1st place on Monday if we and the Bengals take care of business.

Darold going for the 49ers.

Strange that he didn't mention Curhan as an option at RG or RT.

How would you rank the pizza joints (Alfy's, Shakey's, Pizza Haven)?

Shakey's was dreamland when I was a young kid. When my parents announced we were going there it would like announcing that Santa was coming early. Right when you walk in there were the steps up to this narrow walkway that allowed kids to see through these glass windows to see all the cooks making pizzas and putting them in the ovens. Then when you got to the end of it you were at the beverage station where you could order pitchers of beer and pop. I always demanded a pitcher of root beer to go with my pepperoni only pizza.

It was all dark inside only illuminated by a huge probably 15 x 15 centrally located fireplace that you could sit around. They had big movie screens playing Silent movies with Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd movies. Just magical.

We started going to Alfy's after youth sports games and then continued into HS.

I am sure I went to Pizza Haven but don't really even remember it. It was a distant third for sure. All three were on 196th between Fred Myers and Wilcox Park.

Spartas on Hwy 99 was actually the best Pizza. Started going there in the early 80s. My first love worked there and I used to pick her up from work in 1984-85, our Sr. year. She always smelled like Italian food but I didn't care.

Sparta's was the best, and their meatball sub was legit, but Alfy's had that 'half price pizza" and that epic game room down stairs. Is that place still around? Godfathers seemed great, but was really just deep dish cheese, and that never sucked. don't like deep dish anymore tho. Taco Time is another great little find - I still hit it when I am up there and I live in the land of great tacos. Always like A&W and the Dicks burgers were always consistantly average and amazing at the same time! Not sure I ever had one sober. Lynnwood really was the Michelin Star City back in the day.

Yeah not a deep dish guy either. Thin crust NY pizza is the way to go. The Pizza here in the Boston in the North End (little Italy).

Did Taco Time dozens of times in Kirkland. Was on a mile from my house across 85th from Costco.

Totally miss Dicks. There is one on 99 in Edmonds near the Post Office now.

You won't believe what I miss a lot though. Jack in the Box! lol
