The operative paragraph
It’s unlikely that he will deviate from his thinking based on fan or even player reaction

When two of your biggest leaders speak out about their desire to win, it should be met with praise and not punishment.
Jerry and John are not capable of understanding and Stanton is the worst piece of shit owner we could ever imagine

I have never felt so low as a fan of this team.

And don't forget Servais who went all corporate suck up company line spewer and compared Cal going public with the obvious with JK kicking the cooler and knocking himself off the team for two months. Said he can't do that if he wants to be a leader.    :?

Come on, complain about Stanton but he's a worse owner than Jeff Smulyan?

Smulyan cried poor and he was poor. Stanton cries poor because he thinks he needs to blow millions on ballpark upgrades Breweries and Parking lots.

Smulyan didn't cry poor, he cried Seattle wasn't a baseball town
“I never realized how cynical Seattle was toward baseball
“We were viewed as aggressive young owners with the marketing skills that baseball wanted. The ownership committee even noted that, ‘if these guys can’t turn around the Mariners, it will prove the point that the franchise is hopeless, and we’ll send the team to Florida.'”

My guess is that the Tampa move was always in Smulyan’s back pocket. As long as he appeared earnest in trying, MLB’s old-boys club would take care of him. And they did. Smulyan’s three years of labor in allegedly moribund Seattle gave him a $36 million profit upon sale. That’s why there’s always a long line of suitors waiting to buy their way into a federally-protected monopoly.
That's $36 mil profit on a $76 mil purchase price

I wonder if half the fan base will passionately root for the Cleveland this season because Vogt is the manager like they did for the D Backs because Sewald was the closer.
