Also, the Cardinals are either going to luck out and win 100 or crash and burn again.

There's really no middle ground.
I actually see them in the middle about .500.
The age and lack of depth in their rotation spells 2023 for them all over again if all else goes poorly.

That pitching staff is held together by elmer's glue and paper clips.

Mikolas had a 4.27 FIP and Matz had a 3.75 FIP. Gray was a legit Ace last season. Gibson is Meh and Lynn sucked ass but maybe he bounces back a bit. Looks like their pen needs a lot of work but it isn't even December....If their offense is a bit above average I think they will be about a .500 team.

Sounds like Blake Snell wants to come to Seattle badly. Then you could trade some pitching like we've talked about on this forum already. I thought Dipoto said he was only interested in players that wanted to come here. If he doesn't sign Snell then I'm calling him full of shit on that.

Maybe trade some pitching to Tampa for Yandy.

1.SS-Crawford
2.CF-Julio
3.1B-Diaz
4.C-Cal
5.LF-Kelenic
6.DH-France
7.RF-Canzone
8.3B-Urias
9.2B-Rojas

However it sounds like they aren't that interested in Snell, but are actually HOT after Yamamoto. There have been multiple multiple rumblings from around the League that say Seattle is Red Hot after Yamamoto. If true, then that would be very cool. Rumor is that Yamamoto wants to play somewhere as close to Japan as possible. It's probably gonna cost $200M at around 8 years. If we can land Yamamoto then that gives us the best rotation in all of baseball, hands down! Gilbert becomes you're #4 starter which is insane!!!

Where has Yamamoto said he wanted to play near Japan? The only actual statement I know of was his agent saying he wants to play with other japanese players. Don't believe the mariners have any at the moment

It might be speculated, it's click bait. His agent has stated he wants to play with other japanese players. That's the only aspect I don't consider speculation, though there seems to be some question due to it coming from Japan
Yamamoto is thought to prefer a large market first and foremost, and secondly, wants to play on a team that has another Japanese player, according to recent reports. He has no specific preference for the West Coast as Ohtani did when he was posted six years ago.

Maybe due to larger Japanese communities on the West Coast but can't be due to travel. Not like he is going to be flying home for visits on off days. Even flying home during the AS break wouldn't be very feasible given the 24 hour round trip....

Okay, here's an item headlined, Yamamoto prefers west coast. It's a video report, he begins by admitting he can't confirm it but it's what he's heard, give me a break with this crap, total click bait labeled as fact.

It is just one of those things that kind of makes sense and then gets repeated enough that people start to believe it as gospel like 6 man rotations improve pitching health and players needs a half dozen days off and or rest in DH a month to survive a season. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. Nobody knows but him his agent and his family.

It's the click bait aspect that bothers me. There's nothing in particular to report on but they need to churn out content so they spend their time referencing each other turning idle possibilities into news
