Yeah totally agree. They are now going to have to make significant moves just to get make up for the subtractions. Even a modestly better roster seems like a pipe dream at this point but they stated goal is 54% which is 87 wins so......
Sounds like we are going HOT after Yamamoto, via Zoom conference. And then the finalists will get a personal sit down with him at the Winter Meetings. I hear Seattle has gotten really "Agressive" with him. If they were to land him, then we would easily have the best pitching staff in all of baseball. This would also have a massive trickle-down affect, as you would have the pieces necessary to go and acquire a bat(s).
If we do that and then trade for Steer or Friedl I will be the first to sing their praises....
Cincy is almost as bad as Colorado for ball park effect. I would be much more interested in a Santander, Kjerstad deal. If the Jerry signs Yamamoto then Gilbert will be traded.

WAR OPS OPS+ Road OPS
Steer 2.9 .820 119 .835
Friedl 3.8 .819 118 .724
Santander 3.0 .797 121 .775
Kjerstad No mlb track record. Based on his AAA stats he is Zach DeLoach

Steer has a significantly better road OPS than Santander.
Friedl is a far better OFer than Santader with similar overall offensive production as Santader.

I like the Reds players better but wouldn't complain if they added Santander.

Shhhhh! We're not supposed to notice as long as they give us that 54% winning edge!

I know how to really limit Ks. Don't sign anyone else. To make sure the remaining players aren't worked too hard, forfeit 46% of the games = 0 strikeouts over those 75 games.
