The day after they beat us I would have ranked them higher than us without a doubt.

the Hawks were the better team that night, he isn't denying that, but it doesn't make them the better team overall, nobody is putting the Hawks above the 49ers in a poll. He is also saying he doesn't think it puts another team over them either. That the 49ers lost their first game of the season doesn't change the fact to him they are still the league's best team. I am not defending it, i really don't have an opinion who should be considered the best team, the Ravens seem pretty good. But it didn't make the Hawks the best team in the League
Re: Farty Whiner game thread!
Not being a homer. The Ravens and Patriots are both better than the 49ers. Not just talking about last night's game how about the game against the Cardinals. They're not that good they had a weak schedule.
I predict they fall apart after that game just like the Rams did after we beat them. We are season Wreckers

okay, I tend to agree. But in terms of it being weird that he didn't drop him after they lost. There wasn't an obligation in his mind, for them to go undefeated to continue to be considered number one. Both the oddball polls are by single writers, its just totally personal opinion. I like the ESPN one, that uses 80 writers, Ravens number one, 49ers second, Hawks fourth...i am cool with that

That was borderline pornographic. That's quite a bromance budding here.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 2:04 amGordon on is overtime catch
“I was just being where I was supposed to be at the right time in the play, but most of the credit’s got to go to Russell,” Gordon said. “He put the ball so perfect that you just kind of hold your hands out and just squeeze on tight to it, you know.”
Gordon was asked about his budding relationship with his new QB afterward.
“We made eye contact a lot, so some plays I think we know — you would like to do this, but let’s maybe kind of (be) conservative, whatever it is, and be a team player,” he said. “We know we’re going to have opportunities coming up down the road. This game we had a few, but we backed out of them. You might have seen me going in and out of the game a lot. I think moving forward, we’re going to be able to build that continuity, that relationship, that rhythm and get into doing what we love to do — and that’s really make plays.”

the skansi catch win vs. KC was about as unlikely as the comeback playoff win over GB. Derrick Thomas had 7 - SEVEN !!! sacks that game, and just barely missed the 8th on the game winning Krieg-Skansi connection. unreal.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 6:49 amMan, this was as nerve-wracking a Seahawk game as I've ever watched and that includes all the postseason games.
As far as euphoric I-can't-believe-they-really-won regular-season wins go, this one is way up there. Some of the others that come to mind are the game in New England a few years ago, the one against the Giants in 2005 where the 12th Man caused eleven false start penalties and pretty much won the game, going way back the one in Denver in 1984 when Chuck Knox turned Dave Krieg loose for over 400 yards and they won. I was in The Persian Gulf and missed the Paul Skansi Game in Kansas City in 1990 but that one has to be on the list.

How anyone can say this is a QB driven league and watch Jimmy G Monday night and think “yup, best team in football” is beyond me. Our defense has been below average at best all year, and looked unstoppable Monday. Good Lord, how many times did we out the ball on the ground? And the Niners couldn’t capitalize? Four first downs simply handed them by penalty, and they couldn’t capitalize? That idiot Prisco is entitled his opinion...but that doesn’t make it right, nor defendable.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 2:19 amHe must have went to bed Midway through the second quarter like hassle cracked did. There is no way in hell anybody could watch from the second quarter on and say the 49ers were a better team than usDonn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 1:58 amguess it depends on how you view what the power rankings mean. That even though the 9ers lost to the Hawks, he feels they are still the best team in the league. I think its a unique way to view it but it makes sense to me if that is what he is saying, its his poll. The deal with college rankings is there is a lot of weight to going undefeated, nobody expects a NFL team to go undefeated. He isn't going to give much consideration to the 9ers finally losing a game

The national narrative was that the 49ers were an unstoppable juggernaut with a dominant running attack, top 5 QB and the DPOY .
Clowney stole the show ( Did Bosa play that game? Didn't notice.) the Niners vaunted running attack got shut down (Clowney!!!) , Garopporno sucks ass and Wilson against the supposed best team in football in their home stadium. Willed his team to victory despite turning the ball over 5 times. Isn't that the very definition of an MVP?
To change the narrative from the "Niners are the greatest team ever assembled " to well.. the truth. That means everything they've said until now is sprinkled with horseshit.
They are going to give up that quick. An upset by Arizona on Sunday should do the trick.

Great point. I think AZ will give them trouble, and it even looks like Atlanta is no longer a pushover. The easiest game left on the Niners schedule might be the Rams!ThePro wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 3:40 pmThis^^^^^^^^^^Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 2:28 pm
