An interception return for a TD and a fumble return for a TD in one season. Not bad.
The only thing that you have to wonder is how much did the 49ers o-line situation have to do with Clowney's success?

Clowney's performance popped off the TV screen. 10 QB pressures. Every time they showed him is slow motion he was practically being gang raped by the 9ers. No flags on these obvious penalties that I remember. It's scary to think of the kind of night he would have had if the rules were enforced.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 4:00 amAn interception return for a TD and a fumble return for a TD in one season. I have been thinking about about him going from pretty good to one man wrecking crew and what all the factors were in that happening. Our D line, their O line and his motivation could all be factors, just wondering which is the biggest factor. Maybe Wagner just told him about the 49er rivalry. lolSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 4:00 amAn interception return for a TD and a fumble return for a TD in one season. Not bad.

some seem to think their Oline has been the key to their success

Niners have a good Oline..especially at Tackle...

Jake Heaps reiterated today that not only was the defensive approach totally different but it was due to the change at S.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 4:20 amI have been thinking about about him going from pretty good to one man wrecking crew and what all the factors were in that happening. Re: Clowney NFC Defensive Player of the Week
normally they do. Remember before adding Brown how everyone was salivating at the thought of getting either: 1. Joe Thomas, or 1a. Joe Staley. Well Staley is their LT and RT McGlinchey was a top 10 overall pick. So not chopped liver. Granted Staley was coming off injury, maybe not 100%, but i think McGlinchey was healthy. heard Clowney broke Staley's finger though during the contest?

The tackles were coming off 4 and 7 week lay-offs. And i think they were using a back-up center for at least part of the game. Don't know how their guards were doing.
