WOULD YOU DO IT???

Probably not.

He's a SS and 2B where we don't really have the room for a 20 y.o. rookie. No MLB experience and the other guys in return have very little control left.

I also don't see the Orioles trading their top young talent given the way they operate financially.

Yeah, I would probably do it. Jackson Holliday is dominating the minors in a way we haven't seen in a while from a hitter, and to do it in his age 19 season is extraordinary.

Eh... there's plenty of guys who have hung low .900 OPS's in the minors.

Bellinger's price just went up, depending on which site's prediction you use.

There are some older guys. He's the number one prospect in baseball for a reason.

Now that JH Lee went to SF, trade a reliever for Conforto. Have SF pay $8M. Tell the owners it's just for one year.

Sign Snell for $26M AAV.

Trade Miller for Azorarena. Ask for $2.5M back for 3 years. Settle on $6M back for 2024 only.

Additional $39M ($10M + $26M + $3M) from today's payroll, which is about $115M for the 26man.

This brings the payroll to around $155M. Then trade for a co-closer or sign one.

Regarding trades, since they freed up the money, you have to wonder why Arozarena + Paredes hasn't happened. I think it might be that the Rays want Bryce Miller and the Mariners want to give them Bryan Woo. There could also be a concern that giving up a pitcher would line up Hancock for the 5th starter role, which they might not be comfortable with out of spring training. So maybe giving up a pitcher means signing a pitcher, but if they bring in Arozarena and Paredes, there's no room to sign Blake Snell, which means you're looking in the clearance aisle.
