Is he really a candidate?

Speaking of the Rooney rule, seems to me that New England found their new coach Mayo pretty quickly after letting Bill go - any chance of a rule violation there?D-train wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 2:30 amNo clue. 1. Ben Johnson
2. Mike McDonald
I would be excited about either of those two.
I was on the fence about DQ until yesterday. Watching that game felt like I was watching the Seahawks defense all over again with the soft zones and huge holes in the middle of the field. Hard pass.

Re: Hawk HC poll
it was in Mayo's contract - he was next in line for the HC job. NE already had a succession plan in place for when Belichick exited. Pretty rare clause.57reasons wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 3:41 amSpeaking of the Rooney rule, seems to me that New England found their new coach Mayo pretty quickly after letting Bill go - any chance of a rule violation there?D-train wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 2:30 amNo clue.
