Get rid of Pete only for him to shift to montlake, love it for no other reason as it would drive you guys nuts lol.

The job is beneath him
Lastly, why would any coach go from head coach at the NFL level to being fired to going to be the head coach at a college in the same town? That seems like an embarrassing slap in the face and a step down. The Huskies are great, but Carroll deserves better

Yeah, no way he gives up his "Special Needs Advisor" and motivational speaker role to be a HC in the Big 10. lol

Pete to UW is something I thought of on my own. It seems implausible, but I didn't think Jody would fire him before his contract was up either. The job is not below him. He already made this move once. He wouldn't even have to uproot his household. I feel like Pete is currently been placed forever in the "Boomer" meme and won't be asked, but I'm very curious what UW recruiting would look like with a PC as HC announcement. As some of you may know, I'm not a Husky fan...

If guys in their 20s and 30s have grown weary of Pete's schtick something tells me 18 yo's won't be following him to Montlake like he is an elderly Pied Piper...call me crazy.

Good article. This quote really rings true for me...

"The 49ers would have won their sixth by now if Jed York had known how to work things out with coach Jim Harbaugh, who was fired after three NFC Championship appearances (and one Super Bowl) in four seasons. But Harbaugh was viewed as difficult and egos and personalities got involved when Harbaugh was just trying to win as many football games as possible."

I'm not endorsing Harbaugh (or Vrabel), but so often these coaches end up being the 'scapegoat'. You can't fire a roster of players, but you can certainly get rid of the coach. And sometimes it's warranted. Other times, not so much.

The 49ers were talented enough to go to three straight NFCCGs, I don’t think the roster was the problem.

As for PC to UW? I think Brock has a point about raising NIL $. Just not sure about the age thing. Imagine a recruits mom inviting him over for dinner and Pete shows up at 4:15 and hands her his pill box full of his nighttime meds? LOL

Quinn continues to be the heavy favorite
Apparently getting blasted for 48 points in an NFL playoff elimination game is enough to get you a promotion, as FanDuel Sportsbook is suggesting with their latest odds.

Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn (-240) is the overwhelming favorite to take over as the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, a job previously held by Pete Carroll from 2010-23.
