Polanco has 14 HT last year. I thought “that nice”. Then I realized it was only 80 games... We’ll see how it plays in Tmobile. Did he play injured in 2022? If not, that season is hopefully the outlier. Not going to make much from 2020 Covid year

To me it looks like a lineup without any actual middle of the order hitters.

It's a lineup full of guys that should be batting 6th and nobody deserving of hitting 3rd or 4th.

Hopefully their depth can carry them but they just look like another team that'll almost make the playoffs, but won't, imo.

Pessimistic attitude, the line up is as good as we end end the season with and better then day 1 we started and wasted 3 months with. IMO good enough to get to -layoffs. Addition by subtraction with Pollock, Lastella, and Wong gone.

But as I watched the highlight reel, DT, I was struck by how many times the announcers referred to Polanco as the "heart and soul" of the team.

Polanco has nearly identical stats as Kelenic in 2023 (really - look it up), but I will take a heart and soul guy over a hissy-fit-pitching, water-cooler-kicking, broody baby any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

The difference being that Polanco was far more consistent through the course of the year while Kelenic was an MVP candidate through the first month of the year and then a replacement player for the next 4 months.

Agree with everything you said ….. just hard to watch Polanco and see Dipshit jk in any way. On paper maybe but there’s a galaxy between them as far as a professional hitter

Yeah don’t look at Samad’s limited ABs in 2023 after he debuted in June. He has potential based on his Minors stats and is still just 25.
