sure, and Dickson was expected to return...but what seemed a position of depth isn't so much now

Trading Vannett wasn't too bright, unless they thought he was a dud. Now they will have to bring in someone from a practice squad somewhere so that they have adequate depth. Also, they will probably need to look for one in the draft again because Dissly cannot be relied on to be the man.

Unfortnately, they miscalculated the odds of Dickson being able to play this season. Dissly getting injured was harder to foresee, perhaps.
