Trade back twice to take Penix at the end of the 1st and add 2x 2nd rounders.

I had never heard of Kitchens. Lots of picks but 4.65 and only 203 lbs.

He'd play more of a free safety role where you're kind of more protecting at the back level and coverage speed isn't quite as important. You need more lateral quickness and anticipation vs straight line speed in this role.
There's no denying his ability to process and his instincts on the back end are elite. I want to imagine that his football playing speed far outweighs his 40 times... sort of like Bobo at wideout.

good players, but in the end, your QB is still Geno. This year being the best QB class since Luck/RG3/Russell/Cousins, coupled with the foundation of the last two stellar draft classes, I'm not emerging from this one without a Penix, Rattler or Nix at the worst.Michael K. wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 3:20 pmI like this one. Trading back did cost me Sweat, but I got Hall Jr two picks later, and having both of them still on the board was actually why I accepted the trade back to 61.

I like this a lot. maybe prefer a Cole Bishop / Caleb Bullock in the 3rd over Kinchens in the 2nd, but that's nitpicking.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 5:40 pm

And really love the fit of Sweat in this defense, as the true monster nose tackle. Lot of pundits mocking Byron Murphy to us but with Big Cat resigned Sweat is a better match. Wallace also really helps as a coverage LB.

Trading up isn't going to happen. And even with all of my trade back efforts to add a second round pick? There was never a QB available at a spot I had available that made sense. Only that kid from Tennessee late.57reasons wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 12:25 amgood players, but in the end, your QB is still Geno. Ya, with them re-signing Leonard I'm feeling less urgent about a defensive tackle that can rush the passer.57reasons wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 12:32 amI like this a lot. maybe prefer a Cole Bishop / Caleb Bullock in the 3rd over Kinchens in the 2nd, but that's nitpicking.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 5:40 pm

Sweat is perfect for this defense now.

No chance we take a QB early now, and most likely not two. My how things change. I like that draft, pre Howell.
