Rockies vs M's Game 2
Re: Rockies vs M's Game 2
My attention to detail in terms of the weather report led to me my prediction that Julio's 1st bomb would come today. Looks like Friday's game would almost certainly be rained out and temps would be close to 70 on Sunday resulting in a DH today giving him 9-10 chances to do it.

Re: Rockies vs M's Game 2
Probably all due to the new schedule. We haven't played anyone from our division yet, neither have the Angels. The Cubs and Pirates haven't played anyone from the NL Central yet either. There has only been 5 divisional games across the whole NL Central at this point.
Contrast with the NL West where there has already been 25 divisional games played.
The schedule is all over the place. How there can be 4 teams who haven't yet played a division match up yet is a bit crazy.

All that changes this week. Will be quite telling how we match up with the Rangers in terms of our chances to win our first division title since 3 years before Facebook was created...mostonmike wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 12:20 pmProbably all due to the new schedule. Agree with that. Last years record vs division was 33-19 but much of that was thanks to the decent record against the As.
Oakland 12-1
Houston 9-4
LA 8-5
Texas 4-9
Our record against the non-Athletics was 21-18, which is of course 54%.

I refer to them as the Oakland AAAs...mostonmike wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 12:41 pmAgree with that. Last years record vs division was 33-19 but much of that was thanks to the decent record against the As.

I'm actually on vacation with my family down in Rockport. I haven't been able to watch any of the games. So I've been having to check my phone for updates. We are at a sandcastle tournament down in Rockport, "Sandfest".Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 3:52 amActually i lied. There will be about 2 and a half hours between the end of game 1 and the start of game 2. Were you planning to watch game one since you usually watch the games on delay due to your schedule don't you?Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 3:14 amOh sweet! Thanks SibSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 3:12 amThere's 4 hours between the games so you'll have plenty of time to cook up a second game thread if the Ms win game one.
Random pics I've found down here.

lol Dave is such a clown.... Goes off on a guy that was talking about Country Roads. I am sure if he read the lyrics of that one he would find something racist about it too

I thought I'd posted this the other day but take a look at Crawford's batting stance. I think his hands are six inches to a foot lower than last year. It must be on purpose and for a reason.
