2024 Prospects thread
Re: 2024 Prospects thread
Alright, this 21 year old probably needs to move up to Modesto with his 1500 ops. Hit a HR today, is 2-2 with a BB and hitting .478

Re: 2024 Prospects thread
Cali was the 1st guy promote. Now a Frog.
Dallas K. got shelled and his ERA is now almost 5 so not really a viable option in terms of SP depth.

Some internal options for the bullpen:
Troy Taylor was just recently promoted to AA: https://www.baseball-reference.com/regi ... ylor000tro
Logan Evans could be moved to a relief role, at least temporarily: https://www.baseball-reference.com/regi ... ans-000log
Travis Kuhn is striking out guys at AA but has high BB numbers: https://www.baseball-reference.com/regi ... hn--000tra
Luis Curvelo seems to be doing well at AA, striking guys out and not walking too many of them: https://www.baseball-reference.com/regi ... rvel000lui I remember reading something about him a few years ago, that he had really good stuff but didn't know where the ball was going. It seems like he may have started turning the corner last year. Maybe.
Carlos Vargas has a low ERA at Tacoma but unimpressive peripherals: https://www.baseball-reference.com/play ... ca01.shtml
I know Vargas is a project, so I would guess the low K numbers are a product of his trying to control his stuff better.

All Spring I was told Vargas was just amazing and an incredible get for just the cost of our starting 3B.....GL_Storm wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 3:18 pmSome internal options for the bullpen:

Re: 2024 Prospects thread
Isaiah Campbell would sure be nice… although this year he has only pitched 5 games. 3 good games, then beat up by Baltimore. He’s probably injuredD-train wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 3:58 pmAll Spring I was told Vargas was just amazing and an incredible get for just the cost of our starting 3B.....GL_Storm wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 3:18 pmSome internal options for the bullpen:
