D-Backs looking to offload a struggling Geno:

And in other news, for those who care, Kelenic continues to hit well for the Braves. Bless his heart.

Interesting, even without getting anything in return dumping him could make sense
Since the calendar flipped to May, his bat has taken a nosedive. In his past 131 plate appearances, Suarez is hitting .161/.221/.280 with a 30.5% strikeout rate.

I am sure a dozen teams will be offering 4 top 100 prospect for him. Why even announce that he is available. Of course he is available. Every hitter that has forgotten how to hit is available.

Kelenic went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 9-2 victory versus the Rays.

Kelenic batted out of the leadoff spot for the first time this season while also making his first start in center field as a result of Michael Harris (hamstring) landing on the injured list
Kelenic has a better slash line than Austin Riley, they are paying Riley $21 mil

Kelenic .269/ .313/ .425 /.738
Riley .233/ .304 /.372 /.676

Luis Torrens is slashing .318/.375/.773/1.148 with 3 homers in 22 AB's for the Mets.

Kelenic putting the Braves on his back after Acuna goes down. That's some lousy editing. I don't think these sites invest in much editing
A recent shuffle of the lineup by the Atlanta Braves might have become a move toward correcting offensive woes. He boldly decided to slide outfielder Jarred Kelenic, who had been penciled into the bottom half of the lineup nearly the entire season, was moved into the leadoff spot.

Kelenic wasn’t necessarily having a bad season, but a .706 OPS and just two home runs heading into June 15 aren’t numbers that typically earn you a promotion. However, the team remained confident in the decision.

Well, it’s safe to the chess move by manager Brian Snitker set Kelenic up perfectly.

He went 3-for-5 with a home run en route to a 9-2 Braves win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Kelenic was back in the leadoff spot again the next day. He went yard again - doubling his season total in a couple games.

The struggling Braves found themselves back on track. Kelenic has now batted leadoff for the last five games, and the Braves have won four of them. Kelenic has a .913 OPS during this stretch

Kelenic has seen his OPS jump from .706 to .732. He’s on a seven-game hitting streak as well, batting .300 during the streak.

Kelenic and Torrens, two more guys that Dipoto committed playing time to two seasons too early.

He's become the groomer for other teams success.

Torrens didn't play that badly for the mariners did he? Those were really his best seasons

744 OPS on the season
Recently moved to leadoff as the replacement for injured star Ronald Acuña Jr., Kelenic homered and drove in two runs in Sunday’s 3-1 win over the New York Yankees.

Kelenic is hitting .324 with three homers and six RBIs in eight games since moving to the leadoff spot.

Dipoto used Kelenic to dump that payroll, then traded from his middle infield depth to pick up a replacement Kelenic.

Crazy how similar of a player Luke Raley has been. And, fortunately for us, he's done it as a Mariner.

Have to give them credit for the Raley pick up. He brings value on defense and on the bases even when he's not hitting well, much like Dylan Moore.

Moore may have plenty of 0 for 3 days, but he makes things happen often enough that he brings value (he's on pace to be a 3.0 WAR per 600 plate appearances player).
