My VP picks in order of preference
Re: My VP picks in order of preference
If they thought it was their only chance to win, do you think Barack Obama would try to make a comeback as Vice President?

I don't follow it closely but seemed to me he walked away from it once his second term ended. Think that would go against the traditional role of former presidents, Obama seems to be honoring that. He has been involved lately I guess. He seemed involved in pressuring Biden to quit. It's more likely Michelle would get involved probably but I believe her when she says she's not interested.

I'm not sure the Dems feel like they're desperate for anything right now...
There's a lot of energy behind Harris at the moment. Polls are certainly swinging more in her favor since her candidacy was announced.
Youth voters and female voters are pretty motivated it seems. Dems overall seem invigorated by a younger candidate.
Trump made a horrible choice for VP... he's just getting hammered left and right for all the dumb shit he's said in the past. Trump is now the old guy that will be 82 by the time he would vacate the office. Calling Harris a "DEI hire" or a "miserable crazy cat lady" is not landing... turning those in the middle or who weren't going to vote away from Trump. He can't stop rambling on about whether he'd be electrocuted or eaten by sharks if a battery was exposed the open ocean... he can't stop referring to Hanibal Lecter as "late and great"... he can't stop talking about how wind turbines are bad because, "what about the birds?"...
All he needed to do was peg Haley as his VP and act a bit normal for the rest of the election cycle but alas, it's Trump.

Funny to watch libs running a retard for President and worrying about Trumps VP pick.
They're paying online influencers to support Kamala, nothing about her is exciting anybody. She's the worst pick they could have possibly made.

I did not know they (Likud) had used that phrase. Although for the past months, I've associated the phrase with pro-Palestinian demonstrations. I don't see any Netahyahu supporters chanting "From the River to the Sea."bpj wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 7:00 pmNetanyahu IS the "river to the sea" idiots.gil wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 5:33 pmYes, I can see that. She has seemed to condemn the "pro-Hamas" demonstrators, which is not going to make one extreme happy. And she has raised more concern (compared to President Biden) about the suffering of Gazans, which is not going to make the other extreme happy. To me, if you can upset BOTH Netanyahu and the "from the River to the Sea" idiots, you might be in the right (by which I mean middle) place.
This is from his Likud party-

You know what the difference is?
Israel wants to rule from the river to the sea (and they DO), and Palestine just wants to be free, not under the rule of Israeli soldiers.
For the record, I don't consider anyone to be an idiot who is protesting Israel's occupation of Gaza or the West Bank. I don't consider anyone to be an idiot who simply wants Palestinians to be free. On the other hand, the campus (and elsewhere, but especially on campuses) demonstrators chanting "From the River to the Sea, Palestine must be free" strike me as naive (at best), doing the typical idealistic radical thing of overlooking the faults of the "oppressed" and demonizing the "oppressors" - in the case, Israel and the U.S. I recently read about Jane Fonda going to Hanoi in 1972 and talking about how wonderful the communists were and how horrible the U.S. was.
Again, I'm not taking about Likud or Netanyahu, but you probably knew that. I'm talking about leftists, commies, libtards (whatever you want to call them) siding with Hamas.

I don't consider those protests to be any more organic than antifa and blm riots where pallets of bricks would show up beforehand.gil wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 6:37 pmI did not know they (Likud) had used that phrase. There are people behind it all.
Israel doesn't want just all of Palestine, this is what they want.
Look up Greater Israel. That's why they're picking fights with everyone. They know they have a limited amount of time that they still have the backing of the United States as more people open their eyes.
If we let it continue we'll all have members of our family over there defending Israel soon enough.
Two years ago I also thought the talk I was hearing was antisemitic. I thought Kanye West was an absolute whackjob. But I have an open mind so I went digging. Once you do, you can't come to any other conclusion imo.
Look how they're villainizing Candace Owens now that her eyes have been opened. They control the narrative, they own the politicians and they literally own the media, but they're losing it.

Kamala Harris... the former prosecutor turned Senator is a "retard."
But the guy who by all accounts couldn't pass a high school class if daddy didn't step in, brags that he has great relationships with MIT people because he's so smart, is convinced that magnets stop working under water, thinks Lincoln just didn't negotiate well enough in the Civil War, makes up random shit about battles like Gettysburg b/c he doesn't actually know history, rambles about not knowing whether a sinking ship would electrocute him and he's not sure if he wants to take his chances with sharks, goes on incoherent rants about Hannibal Lecter being "late and great," is totally smart... right, got it.

Some of us remember how well she did in the Democrat race last time around. Was it 2%?
You dopey libs had a candidate shoved down your throats faster than your boyfriends dicks, now you're all acting like she's great.
At least we actually like our candidate. Bunch of losers.

Joe Biden won 1% the Iowa Caucus vote in 2008, became VP, then President.bpj wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 9:25 pmYeah she's a cackling retard.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 9:14 pmKamala Harris... the former prosecutor turned Senator is a "retard."

It's just a silly narrative.
But you do the usual BPJ thing... stick your fingers in your ears, pretend reality isn't reality, and call everyone a demented Lib who doesn't do the same.
