Congrats, but I wouldn't live in California for triple my salary. Ugh.

Love it, going from a snowy winter to a sunny one!

Sounds like a great position and it'll be great to have you back on the right coast
Thanks! The Best Coast!

Well if you triple my current salary of $0 it would still be $0 so I wouldn't either. Thousand Oaks is a lot different than LA or SF. Close to a 50/50 split politically.

California is a big diverse place that defies simple descriptions. LA isn't SF and neither of them are Eureka or Bakersfield.

Thousand Oaks has a great location if you like getting to the Malibu beaches. When I lived in Los Angeles, a friend live in Thousand Oaks (in the southern part, close to what are basically foothills). One time he organized and hosted a hike up and over the crest of the Santa Monica Mountains and down a canyon in Point Magu State Park to the ocean (and a fantastic picnic). It was pretty moderate: only about 5 miles and mostly downhill.

I just received a formal job offer from an awesome Pharma Consulting company. I had NINE 1 hour interviews.

Directory of Forecasting with a higher base salary and bonus than I had at Biogen and they are going public next year and I was granted 3k shares. I will be working on site at Amgen, their #1 client.

Dream world. Past 6 months have been a complete stressfest but it is finally over. Thank God.

Thank you for all of your support!

Congrats, D-Train. Good news on the job front. Nine, 1 hour sessions is pretty normal when you start dating, as I recall.

Glad to have you out in my neck of the woods. Left coast is best coast.

But too bad you're in SoCal. NorCal is Hella Best.

Here's a map to orient you:

Atta Kid. If you ever make a trip to Phoenix you have a place to stay. Doesn't look like our rebuild will be done until April.
