Sure, they are both pretty successful dudes. Talk shit? He's admitted to it himself hasn't he? Narcissists have their place but you have to be careful. You don't want to just fawn over them kissing their asses.

The only ass I kiss is my wife's.

I respect the hell out of Elon Musk for his innovations and brilliance in building companies, especially since I'm drawn toward people who create value by "making things" (rather than just by moving money around). In that regard, I put him ahead of Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, other incredibly successful business people. That said, I've soured on Musk the human being over the past few years. It doesn't take way anything from his achievements, but he really has been acting like an attention whore with X, plus I don't like the tone of his right-leaning politics (and I do mean his tone, sort of snarky and disrespectful, not necessarily the content of his viewpoints).
Others living people I respect a lot, for different reasons:
Jeffrey Gordon (Washington University), for his research on the gut microbiome and how central it is to health
Adm. William McRaven (Ret.), for his views on service and self-development
Adam Grant (Wharton School), for his research on organizations and people
Thomas Friedman, columnist for NY Times, for his fact- and experience-based reporting on international politics and the future of America

You mean like the left was running it.Lots of respect for the reasonableness and maturity shown there. Other than his billions of dollars, what makes this behavior different from some 3rd tier wannabe pop diva. ("OMG Fuck Jimmy he told me my hair looks bad today.")

Not sure what I mean......
1. Not allowing the truth about Covid be on thier platform. They only allowed what the government would tell them.
NOT FREEDOM OF SPEECH
2. Allowing lies upon lies about President Trump and block any truth that make him look good.
NOT FREEDOM OF SPEECH
3. Banning the President of the United States.
WHAT KIND OF POWER TRIP WERE THEY ON
Twitter (X) is in better hands now that it's owner is allowing freedom of speech.

I don't like many things about how Twitter was run pre-Musk.
I don't like how Musk appears to be a self-absorbed prima donna.
