Fun stat:

"The Mariners have 14 hits in 151 at-bats on this road trip so far, an .093 batting average."
And they looked just as bad against Maeda and bullpen arms as they did against Skubal and Skenes.

Skenes was awful tonight, he couldn't throw his off-speed pitches for strikes, and he threw a LOT of fastballs right down the middle. Our hitters just suck so badly they can't hit them.

Five hits tonight, and Gilbert gets handed a two-run miracle lead and he and our defense can't hold it against a dogshit team. These clowns just don't want it.

This is a season I'm happy I checked the emotions at the door prior to the season. Never felt like it was a team that deserved support when everything about the offseason was underwhelming.

It's not a fun brand of baseball to watch.

Hopefully this offseason they make a serious effort to put a contender on the field. Until then, losing probably does more good for the team than winning, if it expedites Jerry and Scott's departure.

I am fuming I took yesterday's thread early, missed the chance to go with Faultering team faces Falter. Although it's only an hour until I am allowed to re-steal the thread that might have been my own anyway.

Any sign of Dave?

- In that case the On-Deck poster has from 1:59:00 before game time until 1:00:00 before game time to take over the thread at their OPTION, but it would use their turn in line for the exclusive opportunity to take that thread.
