I'd like to see Howell win the starting job. Interceptions aside, look at what he did playing for a horrible Redskin offense and picture him throwing to our starters.
He won't be he will be our QB in 2025
Discusion of a Geno extension
“They’ve talked about it, they’ve tried to talk about it, I know that,” Garolo stated, in regards to Smith and his team. “That’s been something that’s been broached this offseason. So you know, (that) could be something that gets done before week 1 and is addressed by the team.”

Reminds me of the guy that said a few years ago that the Seahawks getting sold was imminent.

This seems like a pretty good read on the Geno situation. Though i think id be even more inclined to an extension depending on how team friendly it was. I dont think you can just work under the assumption Howell is your 2025 starter

Only thing that matters is how Geno performs this season. Why would they extend him before having access to that critical data.

It be a function of how team friendly it be. If it is seems to me it be hard to pass on
Following Smith’s agreement, the Saints gave Derek Carr a four-year, $150MM deal that featured $70MM in practical guarantees

So a team friendly deal for a QB that can't win a SB. Sounds like something the Mariners would do and hail it as a brilliant strategy.

Im saying it wouldnt lock him in to being the starter in 2925 but it could be a possibiliy, comes down to what it costs to walk away from it. I got the impression his current contract didnt cost much. I would think theyd like to have that option

They are giving Geno the Kamala treatment. lol
As far as the fans spouting off on FB and X, yeah, about 50% are supporting Geno to show
how virtuous they are.
Fortunately, I still believe the coaches are going with Geno because they believe he's the
best chance to win games. I'm intrigued by Howell, but not in love with him.
There's a good chance Geno will miss some games and we'll get a better idea about Howell.
If Geno were as hot a shit as his supporters say he is, he would have gotten a big contract
with another team. I feel he's a good QB for the money. Hopefully the money saved by having
Geno results in better players in other positions. Restructuring before this season ends would
be stupid. If they throw him a little more guaranteed money. A bone. that's okay I guess.

3 winners and 2 losers. The two losers are a 6th rounder and a QB that has zero chance to make the team so all good.
