Re: Huskies vs. the Hookers GT
Rogers is having a terrible game. Is there some reason they haven't pulled him for Williams?
Re: Huskies vs. the Hookers GT
The insane thing is they pull him when he is playing well but now they don't when he absolutely sucks????Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 6:20 pmRogers is having a terrible game. Is there some reason they haven't pulled him for Williams?

ESPN website doesn't even have play-by-play let alone a gamecast for this game. WTF? CBSsports can do that but not the great ESPN?

Re: Huskies vs. the Hookers GT
1 yard pass on 3rd and 4 followed by blown punt coverage followed by gutless D. This team has no heart (or brains).
Re: Huskies vs. the Hookers GT
With the NCPayPay I don't think the Huskies are going to get back in the hunt for a playoff birth unless some drastic changes are made. I don't know what their budget is but I'm guessing it isn't competitive with Oregon or Ohio St. etc. If the U.W. is not competitive budget wise then they and 90% of the rest of the teams will just be relegated to the 2nd tier on down. I am a fan of local teams. I don't give a crap if Ohio St. is playing Penn St. The U.W. is my alma mater and I have gotten used to them being among the top 20 pretty much every season. Not anymore. In my opinion, the spirit of major college football has been ruined.

Everything was in place last season in terms of transfer portal and NIL and we made it to the Championship game so I don't get this at all...Fungo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 8:27 pmWith the NCPayPay I don't think the Huskies are going to get back in the hunt for a playoff birth unless some drastic changes are made. [/quote]My point is that the entire setup is a failure in progress. Yeah we had a good team last year that got totally wiped out because of the transfer portal, the NFL and the money game. I don't know how much Rogers is getting paid or Williams but who's to say Williams will be around next year? Coleman will be gone and the only way we can keep a running back of his caliber on the team is to pay him more than what someone else will pay. We will still have a bonehead coach and at this point don't have much of an idea about who will be returning to a crappy team. The only way to get back in the upper echelon on teams is to put out the big bucks. This is not my idea of college football. I guess I'm getting too damned old.
PS I can't figure out how to quote part of a quote haha
Re: Huskies vs. the Hookers GT
The biggest reasons for our downfall is our HC bolting, having a lot of great players go to the NFL and idiot in game decisions. All of that could have happened 10-15 years ago.
Maybe this new system will implode but I think it will survive. Too many people love watching College football for it to not continue to be successful even in this new world.
