With the amount of money owed to haniger dipoto had to have definitely wanted him, doesn't make sense otherwise
RR is still owed $50M. That is the primary reason he did it but yeah he probably didn't think Mitch was totally cooked.
I don't know, I can't imagine totally dumping a Cy Young award winner salary like that because he's having tj surgery
When he's 32 coming off Tommy John and got shelled in the 2nd half in '22? Yes.

A year ago today Baseball Trade Values gave White Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet a negative trade value in this proposed trade with the Mariners:

How the value has changed.

Ya... I don't love the website for that reason.

I don't agree that players can have such wild swings in value on the trade front.

Well he dropped his FIP from 5.70 to 2.69 and his WHIP from 1.97 to 1.07 so kind of makes sense that his value would increase just as dramatically.

Baseball Trade Values probably has a recency bias that assigns disproportinate weight to the latest performance.

Or not.

I like Bohm better than Bregman even if Bregman wasn't a tool. Same OPS+ but Bohm is 3 years younger and Bregman has been trending down since 2022. I think it might be Lowe though because we have done so many trades with the Rays.
