They finally did it....Alex Jones Infowars shut down.
Whether you love or hate him this is a bad day for free speech.
He is temporarily on x (formerly twitter) until a Judge rules.

Haven't had a chance to watch this yet, but I remember right after Sandy Hook happened, people were showing videos of crisis actors that news networks had used for Sandy Hopk, amd then compared them to the same people who had been crisis actors for other events.
Nothing about Sandy Hook added up. Guessing that's what this video shows.

Jones has admitted to lying, he did it to make a buck. There's not a 100% right to free speech. If you knowingly lie and it damages people you can be sued.
AUSTIN, Texas — Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones testified Wednesday that he now understands it was irresponsible of him to declare the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre a hoax and that he now believes it was "100% real."

Not believing something is real isn't lying.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 7:10 pmJones has admitted to lying, he did it to make a buck. There's not a 100% right to free speech. If you knowingly lie and it damages people you can be sued.

Where did he admit to lying? Certainly not in your quote.

How did they come up with a monetary compensation for supposed emotional suffering by parents of Sandy Hook victims? I mean, did Alex Jones break into their homes and force them to listen to his theories?

It wasn't about them listening to it, it was about others listening to it. You can lie all you want so long as it doesn't harm others.
The families testified during the trial that the lies spread by Jones led to harassment and threats by conspiracy theorists who have accused them of faking their own children’s deaths. They described feeling unsafe in their own homes and hypervigilant in public. Some of the families moved away from Newtown.
The size of the punitive award is considered a sign that jurors found a defendant’s conduct particularly reprehensible and harmful — and as a way of deterring future wrongdoing.

So you would be in favor of a huge settlement from CNN and MSNBC to Trump for Russia, Russia, Russia.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 5:35 amIt wasn't about them listening to it, it was about others listening to it. You can lie all you want so long as it doesn't harm others.
