Tomorrow is the non tender deadline. I can't believe they kept Speier over JT over a million dollars.

Only thing that makes sense on how these misers run the team is they get a kickback on unspent payroll.

No way a GM and President are that concerned about keeping payroll low if they're not getting 10% of whatever they don't spend.

Yep, company performance has been a component of my annual bonus for over 25 years way back to when I was making $40k a year. You can bet your ass it is a part of Jerry's overall comp given his POBO title and love of the 54% plan. And there is a reason he didn't get fired. He is meeting his goals.

Santana has some Nelson Cruz in him.

He was one of the best hitters against left handed pitching in MLB last season.

Could probably add him to Raley to make a pretty solid start to 1B/DH.
