I mostly go with my gut. Occasionally I will look at the Vegas spreads to try and have a more educated opinion on how to allocate my points.

That's all I do. I make my picks, then look at the Point Spreads and see if anything jumps out at me. I usually don't edit it much though. Seems in most things, predictions, fantasy football, etc., when ever I change my mind it ends up being the wrong move!

Just curious, do you do any research or consult any prognostication resources prior to making your picks?

No. Anything over 80% I pick the fav, usually go with a couple upsets ever week which I put at the bottom then rank the rest based on the %s.

I can't believe every single one of us picked the 11-1 Lions vs the 8-3 Packers in a divisional game. But we were all right.

And about this picking thing. In all the weeks I have been competitive except for weeks 2-5. I had two weeks of .500 picking and two weeks of below .500 picks. It sank my ship.

It has been an interesting exercise.

Tough week with all the Byes. I really didn't want to put 8 points on Detroit, and wanted to even less the more and more I heard about their defense missing like 12 players! Sexy must have been rooting real hard for Green Bay there in the end. He would have been in the lead by default if the Packers pulled it out!

Looks like that week had 3 fewer games He only had 133 Points vs 135 for this week with one point missed.
