There's a long term trend of less sea ice in the Arctic Ocean. As it becomes open for shipping for more of the year, it becomes more strategic. Essentially, Russia is on one side of the Arctic, and the other side is Alaska, Canada, and Greenland.

(I know this is not the standard view of the earth. Russia is on top in light green. Alaska lower left in light pink, Canada in pink, and Greenland in white with yellow border.)
For those that are color blind and have never looked at a globe in their lives, Alaska is the one that says Alaska, Canada is the one that says Canada, Russia is the one that says the Federation of Russia. Greenland is the large blob bottom right. lol
Is that the Great Blue Slurpee Ocean? Gorgeous!

Dude - how's all out your way? Holy shit, the devastation over here - insane. Lived here a long time - never seen anything like this. Yesterday the sky was black over here. I know several people who's homes burned in Palisades. You see the video of our idiot DEI mayor getting asked about her responsibility? This is priceless - she says nothing. "What do you say about Elon Musk calling you utterly incompetent"

Her and Newsome are getting crushed - as they should. Hope all is safe with you!

This is nothing. We were only three miles away from the Moorpark fires in Nov. Not as big or famous but 200 houses were destroyed. How far are you from the flames?

Well that's comforting, but I don't think I trust him. You heard it here first, Trump Invades Canada after assuming Office
Trump said on Tuesday he was not considering using military force to make Canada part of the United States, but raised concerns about its neighbour's military spending

See what's going on in Korea, I haven't followed it at all. The president tried to institute marshall but failed, he was then impeached. The last thing I saw was they were trying to arrest him which had turned into some sort of armed standoff between different factions of the government. Sounds like what America is probably headed to on a couple of years

um, why wouldn't he have done that in his first term if that was his goal? What about his first term, in which he started ZERO new conflicts, the first president in decades to do that - much to the chagrin of the war machine - makes you think NOW he's suddenly a war monger? Your logic simply doesn't track. He understands the COST of war and as a business man - that's not a good deal for the TAXPAYER. Highly doubt he's looking to create unnecessary conflicts. Suggesting he's out-of-the-blue gonna start invading Canada makes you sound unhinged. Maybe turn off The View and CNN

He learned from his first term. The second term isn't going to just be a repeat of the first, this is a whole new ballgame. It's going to be no more Mr nice guy, trump has a deeper grasp of the tremendous power at his disposal. This one is going to be about kicking ass and taking names. And don't try to tell me otherwise because we know that's what's needed. And does he ever have a list of names. Right at the top of that list is those damn hosers to the north. Just think about it, what country is going to have the nerve to cross him after he starts his administration by going up there and really smacking some heads together. It's not being a war monger. It's going to be about making the world a more peaceful place, a war to end wars. What a demonstration of power. No other country in their right mind is going to dare mess with the Donald after that. And Donald will go into the history books as a true peace maker and a man of the people, long live our fearless leader!

Lol! You're delusional. No one has a problem with Canada - everyone has a problem with Trudeau - and that problem has been solved. But you keep making up your TDS hate-mongering scenarios - it's great comedy. The one place I can see troops getting deployed is Panama as I think the US wants that canal back - and that would be a smart move. We built the thing, stands to reason the US tax payer should reap the rewards.

"OMG Trump's gonna invade Canada because I said so!"

You conspiracy theory wackadoodles crack me up.

Please, just about Trudeau, he's saying Canada should be the 51st state, that seems a little broader than just Trudeau, that was his tell. It's going to be about liberation, manifest destiny. Those natives up there will one day thank him. The statues that will go up
