Thank God! at about the 1:30 mark he says what I have been saying. Nothing anyone says or does will change ownerships philosophy.harmony wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:30 pmToday ESPN Insider Jeff Passan discussed the Mariner offseason on Seattle Sports radio:

This was a good job by interview. Passan was knowledgeable and thoughtful. And then Brock askes if Bregman, Santander and and Alonso were options. Holy Fuck man. Where have you been the past four years..harmony wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:30 pmToday ESPN Insider Jeff Passan discussed the Mariner offseason on Seattle Sports radio:

A perfect storm.
Ownership are cheap mother humpers who don't care about a championship in Seattle.
Jerry and minions have no real offseason plan and know they're on their way out anyhow.
Every move they got in on was over scaled / out played by other teams with a plan and money.
The ONE thing Jerry has been decent at is trading and he hasn't done a God Dang thing this year to improve the club.
Like Passan said, if this infield is as it is now by Spring Training then this offseason was a TOTAL FAILURE.
Long term no one is going to want to play in Seattle. Just sell the freakin Mariners then! Move to Portland.

These people must have literally no lives. Getting furious because Cal wasn't ranked higher than fourth for Catchers on some arbitrary list on Jan. 9th
Just bizarre

Free agent 1B/OF Mark Canha, who could platoon with Luke Raley, says he has not been receiving calls this offseason:

FanGraphs projects the nearly 36-year-old Canha with a 2025 WAR of 0.8 in 99 games, with an OBP of .340, OPS of .715, OPS+ of 105 and a 19.8 percent strikeout rate:

As a point of reference, FanGraphs projects 30-year-old Ty France with a 2025 WAR of 0.6 in 71 games with an OBP of .329, OPS of .729, OPS+ of 107 and an 18.8 percent strikeout rate.
Prepare to be disappointed.

0.8 in 99 games is not good. The average player gives you a 1.8 WAR per 162 games which makes him below-average. Plus, he was 35 last year and he just aged another year.harmony wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 5:15 amFree agent 1B/OF Mark Canha, who could platoon with Luke Raley, says he has not been receiving calls this offseason:
