No, that isn't it. It is because a guy that died during the early days of the Viet Nam WAR signed Jackie Robinson almost 80 years ago.

Casas not a good fit for the park??? I'm literally reacting like Ralph Fiennes in In Bruges - "This gets f'ing worse!!"

What is with the idiocy of this club that seems to fixate on RH hitters? Not a good fit? He's a LH hitter and right field is short... and the guy should have 30+ hr power... Clearly their vision of what the 'right' hitter is - is spot-on by all the success stories we have so far. Just unbelievable..when they aren't being cheap - they are stupid.

There is now a lot of talk about how MLB is doomed because of the Mets Dodgers Yankees. A bunch of NFL posters when saying the NFL model is SO much better. How in the hell can you be an NFL fan this Century and watch the Pats and Chiefs win NINE SBs and see the perennial cluster fuck of the Bears, Jets, Giants, Browns and Panthers vs the Eagles, Ravens, Rams, Bills and Chiefs the last decade and think the NFL has it figured out.

NFL is better. They do seem to protect their star QBs though. BTW, what do you think about Nix now?

MLB needs a salary cap bad. What the Dodgers is doing is killing the game and parity. Why should teams even show up against the Dodgers?

 Did you even read my post? They have won ONE WS since Reagan was in office. How about we see what happens this season before Chicken Little-ing the Downfall of MLB. Why hasn't the NFL folded due to the Pats and Chiefs dynasties and why didn't the salary cap prevent them from completely dominating and how did the most dominant team in MLB in the last decade not even come near the luxury tax???

They made it work inside a salary cap, which is what MLB should do. It’s to the point now that it’s guaranteed the Dodgers will sign 2-3 of the top 5 free agents per year
