Ethan Holliday is likely to slide. I watched some video of him a few weeks back and wasn't impressed and then I heard Joe Doyle on a podcast saying basically the same thing. He looks kind of stiff to me.

Gun to my head, if I had to place a bet on who they'd pick at #3, it would be two-way prep prospect Kruz Schoolcraft, probably with a pre-draft deal that saves them a million or so.

Batting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gw9l8Qmxd4w

Pitching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEo2mRF9su8

Here's his Baseball America blurb:

Ht: 6'8" | Wt: 215 | B-T: L-L

School: Sunset HS, Portland, Ore. Committed: Tennessee
Age At Draft: 18.3
Schoolcraft was one of the elite players for 2026, then in December 2023 announced he was reclassifying to the 2025 class. Like Giants 2023 first-rounder Bryce Eldridge, Schoolcraft is a gigantic two-way talent with big lefthanded power whose future could be as a position player or a pitcher. On the mound, Schoolcraft has been up to 97 mph with the look of a pitcher who will continue to throw even harder. His secondary stuff has taken a step forward, missing bats with a changeup that has good separation off his fastball and adding more power in 2024 to a mid-80s slider that has good action and is tough on lefties with his angle. Schoolcraft is well coordinated for his size, though as a 6-foot-8 pitcher, he’s still learning to sync up his delivery to throw consistent strikes. At the plate, Schoolcraft is a long-limbed hitter whose lefthanded swing works well and allows him to perform at a high level in games. He has huge power for his age, with a chance for 70 raw power on the 20-80 scale once he fills out. Schoolcraft is a potential plus defender at first base, where he has good actions, quickness and range, along with his obvious arm strength, and gives his infielders extra margin for error with his size. He moves around well enough to potentially play right field as well.

I think they go college hitter for fast track to pros

Jace LaViolette, OF, Texas A&M
Similar to 2024 Aggies teammate/Red Sox first-rounder Braden Montgomery, LaViolette is a physical (6-foot-6, 230 pounds) player who stands out most with his power and is destined for right field as a pro

Or

Cam Cannarella, OF, Clemson
One of the best hitters and center-field defenders in the Draft, Cannarella slashed .337/.417/.561 with 11 homers

23 years old, .801 OPS in 318 plate appearances at Tacoma, that's not someone you want to give the first base job to and oh by the way, the Mariner organization isn't exactly gushing about Locklear the way they did Evan White, which should tell us something.

Darren, eventually we'll break through and teach Vogie about how baseball works.
They gushed about his defense and rightfully so. The dude was remarkable

Pharma, Emerson Hancock isn't a prospect anymore. Are you just throwing him on the list because he's another player we have in the pipeline who can make an impact?

Why aren't you ranking Ryan Bliss?

Someone else mentioned Hancock and I threw them on at Black Jack 21 because he is a guy you can run up and down with options and most nights he is not a complete POS. And he could develop just like any prospect, New arm slot, increase in Velo, control, etc.

I completely forgot about Bliss. I have just been using him as an MLB player in all my off-season plan stuff. I saw on the trade calc that Bliss was about 12M in value which is about at what you see toward the bottom of the top 100.

With pick #59 same 10+/- rule on who I am allowed to pick

#49 Landon Harmon RHP, East Union (MS) a 6'5 prep pitcher with 98 in the bag on projectable frame to add to it. 65 grade on the FB 50 overall

#62 Patrick Forbes (20) RHP another 65 grade on the FB

#68 Omar Serna C, prep player with a 65 grade on the arm, and a 60-grade power score.

Pick #96

#90 Cam Leiter RHP, Florida State 6'5" 65 grade FB and a 60 grade Change

#92 Landon Beidelschies LHP, Arkansas He has a 60 grade slider and only a 55 grade FB but it says as a Soph. he was averaging 91-94 with peak velo of 98, but as a junior he was in the mid 90's as an average. (Peak 100?) That to me sounds worthy of at least a 60 grade if not a 65 or 70 grade.

#97 Dylan Dubovik OF/3B, prep player he has a 65 grade arm and a 55 Power rating off a 6'4" frame.
