In the film "Seven" Brad Pitt asks the insane Kevin Spacey "when you're insane, do you know you're insane....?" The internet is 90% videos of Kamala word salad and her total inability to string together a coherent sentence - she is literally the worst candidate in then history of American politics - she's so bad she made 'hitler' the more desirable candidate - and these clowns are outraged we didn't vote for her. Brad Pitt's question applies here - these wackadoodles are so far removed from reality - it's just sad and comical to watch them set themselves on fire, trying to sell us Kamala, open borders and pronouns, while telling us we're crazy. By destroyed I meant the shift from 2020 after relentlessly hammering their inane talking points which presumed the majority of swing voters were complete fucking idiots:Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 8:16 pmWhat does "after getting destroyed in the election" mean?D-train wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 3:58 pmThe most amazing thing is that they are still rolling with the same inane tactics after getting destroyed in the election. Trump won by basically the same EC margin as Biden did in 2020. Biden won by 7 million more votes. Trump won by 2 million more votes.
The election was swung by about 500,000 (100k in Michigan, Penn, Georgia) votes in swing states.
Obama beat McCain 365-173 and by 10 million popular votes in 2008. Obama won Michigan by 17 points, Wisconsin by 14 points, Penn by 10 points. That's getting "destroyed." Trump won those states by 1-1.5 points each...
That didn't change Republican messaging... neither did 2012... it just made the messaging louder, more racist, more hateful, and they put Orange boy on the ticket to be their megaphone. A small section of people in swing states bought into that messaging and it swung the elections in both 2016 and 2024.
You're acting like Trump won crucial swing states by 10 point margins and had an Obama-level popular vote win. It was nothing of the sort... probably just a slightly better Republican win than normal which isn't saying a whole lot.

I really don't think the masses were swayed by the left becoming "too woke." Although that's the narrative right-wing media loves to drive home.
Most people were thinking about their wallets... Trump killed Harris in exit polling on the national economy and inflation. He also polled far better on the border and the wars in Gaza/Ukraine.
I will agree that Democrats overplayed the threat to democracy card as a strategy... but wokeness wasn't their oversight.
All said, Trump's victory didn't destroy anyone or anything. "Woke" policies, or policies pertaining to human rights, remained popular... even in red states.

They're taking up 6% of the country's housing supply. They have to go in order to fix the housing and homeless issues.

That would be Paul Alexander (NBC). The White House press corp should be required to pass a civics test. Leavitt should get a bonus for having to tutor those dim bulbs. But thats where we're at. I lika that gal.

Civics, Economics, and Money management should be required classes in High School along as History!

It did destroy a few things. It destroyed the left's attempt at weaponizing the justice system to imprision their political opponent in an election, which I believe was the single biggest mistake any political party has ever made in election history. It also completely destroyed the notion that Roe v. Wade was any factor in the election. It also destroyed the idea that you can ignore the American public, hide from every interview, hide from every podcast and never answer a single question and be voted in as President, no matter what gender or race you are.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 12:31 am

But it didn’t destroy or indicate any of that.
As I explained, the election was decided by about 500,000 votes in swing states. It wasn’t some massive, historical defeat that would shift an ideology on its head. Certainly not a mandate or whatever the fuck.
Re: January 20th, 2025
You know what's going to destroy the Democrat party?
Election reform.
Election reform.
