I like Josh Simmons. I think, once healthy, he could take Abe's spot and Abe can play RG.

Why is he a cripple? From everything i've heard the operation on his knee was successful.

It's my theory based on how things went down. I would love to be wrong.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2025 9:55 pmWhy is he a cripple? From everything i've heard the operation on his knee was successful.
He didn't have just an acute injury requiring surgery. I think he had/has a chronically bad knee that
they've attempted to help out with surgery. I respect that Lucas doesn't have to disclose to the general
public what was/is up with his knee, but I don't think it will ever be right.

Lucas graded out in the low 60s. Great for our O line but not great overall. I wonder if moving to G would be good for him given I assume he is less mobile than he used to be.

I had assumed it was a cartilege/meniscus issue but i heard someone on one of the radio stations describe it as a tendon injury that requires a year to fully recover. So he could be back close to 100% based on that, but who knows?

The athletic abilities are different between the positions. Guards are more about strength, blocking in close quarters, tackles are more athletic, more about lateral mobility. Even If he's now a cripple he might still be able to play guard
